I worked in a team of two junior UX designers under Alpha bank UX group manager supervision.

I was involved in the full UX cycle from target audience study to low & high fidelity prototypes creation including interviews, empathy map, CJM and data architecture.

Project

Banking Analytics

The project goal is to provide clients of the middle financial segment with individual future-oriented recommendations based on past transactions. 

Also subscriptions and automatic payments monitoring and management. 

The value for the business is ​online bank visiting growth, connection points with clients, and ​clients segmentation testing according to behavior routine.

The target audience of the project is clients of the middle financial segment as a pilot group.

Solution

Research

A stable budget and the growing well-being of clients is a mutually beneficial relationship for the bank and the client.

Young people are more prone to navigate budgeting with digital services.
Banks do not have the functionality to merge data from different banks together. Usually excel is used. Integration of data will enable full analytics and will access customer data for internal processing.

The subsystem should be as simple as its functionality allows. 
The system should suggest category restrictions and investments based on a scientific approach as well as based on clients' lifestyles and opinions.

Persona

Ben

Ben is a motion designer. He is 27 years old. He is in the middle financial segment. Ben makes money on creative projects. Ben spends his money thoughtlessly, but he wants to learn how to handle money correctly in order to save for his own goals.

Chloe

Chloe is a software engineer. She is 36 years old. She is in the middle financial segment. Chloe has a monthly income. Chloe has financial savings but she doesn't understand in investments so she gets low profit on her savings.

Solution Perspective 

  • The analytics expert system provides an individual approach to each client of the bank because the offers and the ad banners that the clients see are based on the analysis of the client’s data and their wishes during the validity period of the bank offer.

  • The interface of the section is based on the light wizard principle, where there is no rigid binding to steps, they are serve more as guidelines in the process and it is possible to switch independently between tabs. Choose what analytics you want to watch and click the Start button.

  • The bank marketing team can add new approaches for clients and remove unpopular ones. And analyze the popularity of approaches.

Details

In our solution, the main page is designed by analogy with a dashboard. A client can track the next payments, cancel them, and see what is the relation of planned expenses to the total monthly expenses.​

The Future Payments section offers a quick payment option.

The Subscriptions section manages subscriptions. 

In the Goals, we can create a new target or adjust an existing one.

The Notifications page allows clients to track amounts.

Analytics

Analytics provides an individual approach because the offers and the ad banners that the clients see are based on the analysis of the client’s data and their wishes during the offer validity period.
The interface of the section is based on the light wizard principle, they are serving more like guidelines in the process and it is possible to switch independently between tabs.
We get our results at the end of the Analytics run. We’ll study them, remove inappropriate options, and leave something for later.
The results are collected on one page and will be visible in add banners on the main page and internal pages with the ability to switch to a more detailed version.
